Wantage’s maternity unit had been closed for some lengthy time due to a Legionaries outbreak. Reeds Decorating Centre, along with other members of the community, helped supply goods and trade. This allowed the NHS reopen a local maternity unit during the height of the pandemic.

Reeds Decorating Centre donated over £2,500 worth of paint to support the reopening. Supplied for the walls was the high-performance Dulux Trade Diamond Matt Sterishield, which inhibits bacteria and reduces populations of MRSA and E.coli, whilst the durable Dulux Trade Satinwood was applied to the doors and skirting.

As a Wantage based business, supporting facilities within the town is important to us. Having donated the paint for the re-decoration of the changing rooms of the town football team in 2019, working with our wonderful NHS in 2020 provided an opportunity we were excited to support.
