Built in the 1860s, the almshouses on Mill Street and at Eagles Close provide a valuable service to retired people of Wantage. At Reeds, we were delighted to be able to support the maintenance programme of such a worthwhile charity.

Steve Trinder, Treasurer of the Wantage Townlands Trust the Charity responsible for the alms houses, commented “the on-going up keep of these properties is essential so we were delighted when Reeds Decorating Centre offered to provide the paint for the external refurbishment”.

The Trust wanted a high performance and durable product, soDulux Trade Weathershield system was chosen for use on all of the external joinery.

Following on from other projects we have supported in the local community including the refurbishment of the changing rooms at Wantage Town FC in 2019 and the painting of the Maternity floor of Wantage Hospital in 2020, we were pleased to once again contribute to such an excellent local cause.
